Hi, this is the campaign to help us build the 2026 Internationalist Abolition School.

Who are we? We are comrades from many continents, regions, states, and movements, mostly from throughout the Global South. We have shared our work and learned from one another over many years and in different parts of the planet. In this changing context, we realize that establishing a school as one of our collective projects would help strengthen practical work. Each edition of the school will take place in a different part of the world, because hardening borders make it difficult for people to move around. And also, the school is mobile because we recognize the importance of accumulating knowledge and practice from different places.

This year, the School will take place at the ENFF (Florestan Fernandes National School), an education and training campus conceived by the workers in 1996 and built from 2002 to 2005 by MST brigades from settlements throughout Brazil. ENFF is located near the city of São Paulo. From July 27 to 31, we will consider how people in urban and rural contexts, across and at borders, resist the forces of organized abandonment that leave people vulnerable to premature death.

The 2026 school will be framed by several connected topics: land & territory; prisons & policing; militarism & borders; and organizing from the ground up. By examining these topics we aim to strengthen our ability to analyze the conditions in which we live. We have two key goals. The first is to think together about how already-existing campaigns, groups and organizations can become stronger by sharing strategies. The second is to develop awareness of how emancipatory movements can grow and converge.

Olá, este é o financiamento coletivo para ajudar na construção da Escola Internacionalista para a Abolição.

Quem somos nós? Somos camaradas de muitos continentes, regiões, países e movimentos, em sua maioria provenientes do chamado Sul Global. Compartilhamos nosso trabalho e aprendemos uns com os outros ao longo de muitos anos e em diferentes partes do planeta. Neste contexto de mudanças, entendemos que criar uma escola, como um dos nossos projetos coletivos, ajudaria a fortalecer o nosso trabalho prático. Cada edição da Escola acontecerá em uma parte diferente do mundo, pois o enrijecimento das fronteiras dificulta a circulação das pessoas. Além disso, a Escola é itinerante porque reconhecemos a importância de incorporar os conhecimentos e as práticas adquiridas nos diferentes lugares.

Neste ano, a Escola acontecerá na ENFF (Escola Nacional Florestan Fernandes), um lugar de educação e formação idealizado pelos trabalhadores em 1996 e construído entre 2002 e 2005 pelas brigadas do MST provenientes dos assentamentos e acampamentos de todo o Brasil. De 27 a 31 de julho, refletiremos sobre como as pessoas em contextos urbanos e rurais, nas fronteiras e para além delas, resistem às forças do abandono organizado que tornam as pessoas vulneráveis à morte prematura.

A Escola de 2026 será estruturada em torno de vários temas interligados: terra e território; policiamento e prisões; militarismo e fronteiras; e organização a partir das bases. Ao estudar esses temas, buscamos fortalecer nossa capacidade de analisar as condições em que vivemos. Temos dois objetivos centrais. O primeiro é refletir em conjunto sobre como campanhas, grupos e organizações já estabelecidas podem se fortalecer ao compartilharem suas estratégias. O segundo é compreender como movimentos emancipatórios podem crescer e convergir.

Com este financiamento coletivo, você irá nos ajudar com custos de transporte e estadia para organizações e indivíduos que não possuem condições financeiras para se deslocar até à ENFF. A ideia é trazer para a escola camaradas de diversos lugares do mundo.
