As you can see, I am not using my real name. That is for the sake of privacy. I don't seek fame or fortune or praises I didn't earn. I'm just using this platform to help raise money to get me and my family out of the state of Kansas.

In February of 2026, Kansas passed a bill that targets trans folk and nullifies their ID's and driver's licenses if it doesn't have the gender they were assigned at birth on the document. This is, admittedly, a glancing summary of what the bill does, but it's still atrocious. As a gender fluid person, one can see why I want out of here ASAP. (Yes, being on the non-binary spectrum counts as being trans as it changes or adds to your original gender.)

The urgency, however, is not just for my sake; it's also for my family. There are four of us, and we are all doing our best with what we can. There's me, my mom, my sister, and my sister's spouse. We are all affected by these changes in one way or another; some greater than others. Well, we're sick of it. We're tired of hoping for positive change in a state that clearly wants to stay backwards, and we're not going to remain in a place that wants to erase our existence. We're fighting our tails off to make this move out of Kansas as seamless as possible - not an easy feat considering the time crunch.

This is hard enough as it is...I've lived in Kansas most of my life, and I was just a toddler when we moved here originally. That's thirty years of my life in this state, and now I'm leaving it all behind. Aside from my toddler years, I've never lived in another state before. The idea of moving was already scary, but now it's just plain terrifying. Adding the urgency of the anti-trans laws as well as the other atrocities that Kansas is pulling, is it really so difficult to see why we want out? Enough is enough.

All I'm asking for is help to make the move easier. Even a dollar is better than nothing.
