We’re Space Hopping Theatre, a new visual storytelling company bringing our five-star family comedy, Escape For Dummies, to The Courtyard Theatre this August, as part of The Camden Fringe 2025.

A key piece of our funding recently fell through, and we need a little extra support to bring this joyful, chaotic, Aardman-style world of mannequins, mayhem and movement to life.

What’s the show about?
Two shop dummies, alive and desperate to escape their retail prison.
Drawn together by an unspoken bond, they hatch a plan to ‘checkout’ from the 9-to-5 grind and discover the world beyond the shop doors. But with prowling security guards, nighttime burglars, and a wildly unhinged floor manager, escaping the store is no easy feat.
A wordless physical comedy for all the family, brought to life by a five-person multi-roling cast using movement and slapstick to create a joyful and chaotic world.
The original creative team, Josh Mallalieu, Laurence Cuthbert and movement director Sam Morris, are back to bring fresh energy to this five-star family comedy.
