Catherine's Medical Fund

On December 11, 2015 my mom was run over by a pick-up truck on her morning walk in our home town of South Pasadena. She was rushed to Huntington Memorial Hospital for extensive injuries -- internal bleeding and severe breaks. She has since undergone four surgeries, including one week in the Intensive Care Unit and two in Huntington's surgical unit. She now resides in a nursing home, where she will live for a couple months as she begins physical therapy.

My mom embodies so much good -- creativity, light and love. She is loved dearly by many. The healing process will be long and painful so we ask for everyone's strength. She will be immobile for a couple months before beginning to walk again -- something rather unfathomable for our family.

Her spirit remains positive though as she is determined to be back on her feet soon. Her life, and our life, has been turned upside down.

With that, we ask for your help as her medical bills continue to skyrocket -- four surgeries, emergency bills, medications, nursing home, multiple ambulance transfers, rehabilitation and more.

I am raising money for my mom because without her, our lives would not be as beautiful, as bright and as joyous. My mom enriches the lives of everyone she meets.

She deserves the best recovery possible from her nursing home and doctors to her rehabilitation program.
