Support Ryan's Fight for a New Liver
Donation protected
Ryan Kirk, age 49, was diagnosed in 2017 with NASH cirrhosis. It is a life-threatening disease that occurs in a non-alcoholic patient and leads to cirrhosis, which is scarring of the liver. His mother passed in 2021; this same disease contributed to her death. His father passed away prior to his mom.
Since his diagnosis, he has been mostly stable. In the fall of 2024, Ryan's health began rapidly declining. His body was fighting an infection and was heading toward kidney failure. The infection is now under control, but he is still quite sick. Thankfully, after many tests and procedures to ensure he is qualified, on Dec 26th he was approved to be placed on the liver transplant list!!!
His wife, Adrian, has been by his side throughout. Clearly, this has created a financial strain. Ryan has been unable to work since August, and Adrian has been there to drive him 2 hours from home to appointments and to be by his side while in ICU for the week prior to Christmas.
Adrian's parents have been helping as much as possible; it is time for friends and co-workers to step in.
My name is Jan Trumpp. Ryan and my brother, Sean, have been best friends since 7th grade. Ryan coached the small-town little league baseball team for his son and ours. We wish he would have been there for the entire time as coach. Ryan was amazing; he loved the game and was so excited each day to share skills and create a great team atmosphere.
Please, help if you can.
