Support Jason's Long Road to Recovery

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out for help on behalf of my brother Jason and his wife Andrea. On Friday May 16, Jason was out for a morning run to train for the Tough Mudder competition, a testament to his discipline and determination. While legally crossing at a crosswalk just blocks from his home, Jason was struck by a large pick-up truck and trailer causing catastrophic injuries. Emergency responders determined that Jason needed to be airlifted to the nearest Trauma 1 Hospital. He sustained multiple broken bones, internal injuries, and head trauma and has been diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury.  

The emotional and financial stress is overwhelming. Jason requires extensive medical treatment; he is unable to work during this time, and the medical bills are quickly piling up. Jason’s wife, Andrea - a public school teacher - is doing everything she can to support him and be by his side. But with school out for summer, her income is uncertain during these crucial months.  

I am asking for help to ease some of the financial burden this tragedy has caused - from extensive medical care and surgeries to the ongoing treatments, and daily living expenses that will continue to accumulate during Jason’s long road to recovery. Your kindness will allow Jason and Andrea to focus on Jason’s healing without the added burden of financial stress.
