Hi all,
Eryn will be representing England in the WKU World Championships, Trier, Germany in October this year.
Eryn has had a very challenging few years after an injury only weeks into returning to karate after many years in 2021, which resulted in a permanent chronic pain disability, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in her left foot and leg, which also causes issues for her hips hands and back too.
Eryn missed out on a lot of training and lost swimming as a competitive sport due to her condition. However the competitive, determined fighter, Eryn has found the resolve and the support network she needed to gain the training and experience in Kata, team Kata and traditional weapons to achieve both British Champion and European Champion this year.
It would mean the absolute world to her to follow on and compete at World Championships in Germany and represent WKU England. We are so very proud of her and her determination through debilitating pain and emotional distress.
But all this does come at a financial cost. Eryn has worked and saved hard to largely fund European championships in Italy herself with some parental support. But now we are reaching out to our loved ones and contacts for any amount possible you could spare. We are eternally grateful for any amount of pence as we know times are hard for us all. We can provide a full breakdown of all costs for Eryn if needed. It does include, travel, accommodation, registration and licensing, category entrance fees, England squad kits etc.
Please if willing share far and wide.
We are only seeking Eryn’s expenses for the trip.
