Eryn Coy’s Open Heart Surgery
Donation protected
Dear friends, family and kind strangers;
My name is Kristine Longson, a long time friend of the Coy family. I have set up a go fund me account in an effort to help lessen the financial burden of Eryn Coy’s upcoming open heart surgery.
As some of you may know Eryn was born with congenital heart disease. Due to this condition she has already had two cardiac catheters, one at 4 months old and the other at three years old. Eventually she would be in need of a valve replacement in her heart. It was during her second year of college she began to have problems and was in need of her first valve replacement. In February of 2017 she underwent open heart surgery and was given a bovine valve as the replacement.
Doctors were hopeful this fix would last her 15-20 years. Unfortunately it only patched the issue for 8 years. She is now in need of another replacement. Although this time there are a few more complications and other underlying issues.
Doctors also discovered she has Factor Five Leiden’s disorder, which can lead to abnormal blood clots. Eryn also had her son, Rhett in 2024 which took a toll on her heart as well.
In May, Eryn will travel to Seattle, WA to undergo her second open heart surgery. She has the best team of doctors and we are hopeful for a longer lasting fix this go round.
If you have ever met Eryn you know that she is a strong, determined woman and would never ask for a hand out.
We would like to do our small part and help lessen the financial burden. Eryn will not be able to work for 6 months after, she will have travel expenses and medical bills.
This GoFundMe was created to help ease the strain of this so she can focus on what’s truly important; healing and her family.
If you are able to help out in anyway Eryn, Nash and their son Rhett would be more than thankful. If a donation is not possible we completely understand and ask that you help by sharing this fundraiser with family and friends.
