On January 8th, my dog Dash was rushed to Colorado Springs for emergency dental surgery. What started as a terrifying emergency turned into a $5,600 medical bill — and to my devastation, my pet insurance has denied all reimbursements.

At the same time, I lost my job and am currently unemployed due to a serious ankle injury of my own. I am facing surgery and have been non-weight bearing, which has made it incredibly difficult to find new work or recover financially. This has been one of the hardest periods of my life, and now Dash is suffering too.

During his emergency surgery, veterinarians discovered two severely abscessed teeth that must be removed immediately. They’ve made it clear this procedure is mandatory — without it, Dash will continue to be in pain and risk further infection. The cost for this surgery is $2,100, and once the funds are available, he can be scheduled right away. With out it, Dash risks further infection to his main canines, and losing additonal teeth that I won't be able to afford given my current finacial situation and I risk having to surrender him or worse...

Watching Dash struggle to eat and knowing he’s in pain is absolutely heartbreaking. I’ve exhausted every option I have, and I’m asking for help because I truly cannot do this alone.
