Give Hope to Japan's Captive Elephants
Tax deductible
There are approximately 100 captive elephants in Japan, many enduring unacceptably outdated and stark living conditions. About 15 of these elephants live in solitude, suffering from the lack of companionship— a cruel and undeserved punishment for these naturally social beings. They need our voice, and for years, we've been their champions. Today, we need your help to continue our mission.
THE CHALLENGE: Due to administrative challenges with our regular fundraising channels, we're turning to GoFundMe as an essential stopgap solution. Updates to IRS policies have delayed our ability to use PayPal, significantly impacting our funding. Without these funds, our ability to operate and advocate for these intelligent, social animals is at risk.
OUR MISSION: Since our inception in 2017, Elephants in Japan has been dedicated to addressing the plight of elephants in captivity across Japan. Unlike any other organization, we have brought critical issues to public attention, shining a spotlight on their conditions. Our campaigns—powered by relentless investigation, strategic partnerships, and rigorous science—have not only raised awareness but have also fostered tangible changes in public opinion, policies, and practices. Every penny we receive is directly channeled into our campaigns: from educational efforts to legal advocacy and public awareness.
HOW WE USE THE FUNDS: We operate with the highest integrity, ensuring that every donation contributes to our high-impact projects.
CONTINUED ADVOCACY AND LEGAL EFFORTS: Advocating for policy changes and improved living conditions for captive elephants.
EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGNS: Informing and engaging the public on the needs and rights of elephants.
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP: Amplifying our impact and reaching more stakeholders.
MEDIA AND AWARENESS DRIVES: Keeping this vital issue in the spotlight and mobilizing support.
INTERPRETERS AND TRANSLATORS: To effectively navigate complex legal frameworks and engage with local stakeholders, it is crucial that we employ expert translators and interpreters. Your support helps fund these essential services, ensuring our advocacy is both precise and impactful.
OUR ASK: Today, we ask you to stand with us. Your support will allow us to maintain our momentum and continue our critical work, even in the face of financial obstacles. Help us ensure that no elephant in Japan suffers in silence.
We are deeply grateful for any support you can offer. Please consider sharing our campaign with your networks. Together, we can continue to make a difference.
Thank you for your support and for believing in our mission. With your help, we can continue to fight for these majestic creatures and ensure their stories are heard.
Donate today and help us continue our work. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant difference.
