Help Us Lay Our Beloved [Errol Pettiford) to Rest

On [August 21], our beloved (Erroll Pettiford ), Birthday August 8th only 35 years young, tragically lost his life in a senseless act of gun violence while walking his dog after a long day of work. He was shot multiple times — a devastating loss to all who knew and loved him.

After overcoming incredible hardship, ( Erroll) had just begun to rebuild his life. He experienced homelessness for six months quietly, without mentioning to anyone but never gave up. Through determination and resilience, he found work, saved every dollar he could, and secured a 3-bedroom home. He opened his doors to his mother and brother, giving them a place to stay, and later welcomed his girlfriend into the home they were building together.

He had moved to a new area hoping for better opportunities and safer surroundings — a fresh start. He was working hard, taking care of his loved ones, and finally seeing the fruits of his efforts. His life was on the right track, full of hope and promise.

[Erroll ] leaves behind his heartbroken mother and father, His Plus Mom , brothers, two sisters, his girlfriend, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him deeply.

He was a kind, hardworking, and selfless soul whose life was stolen far too soon.
