Got a minute? This feels funny as I have never done this before. Through my own cancer treatment, I could have used a Go-Fund page, but my husband and I managed to pay for my care without asking for donations. But this is for a dog, this is for Blaze. She’s a dog that came to me last year for acclimation and then rehoming. That has been a very long process due to a growth that was found in her mouth in November of last year. It was removed and biopsied in December. She was diagnosed with Ossifying Peripheral Odontogenic Fibroma with a concern for Acanthomatous. In short this will turn into cancer. She was spayed in February. The pathology report was somewhat vague. And every potential home for her would bow out when they viewed the report. Went to see a specialty vet today and the word is, Blaze needs to have three teeth and part of her jaw removed to give her the long life she is owed. Initially, it was about $8,000. – But with the help of the specialist we whittled the procedure down to $5,200. Blaze does not carry insurance. Still recovering from my own out-of-pocket expense – this is seemingly out of reach at the moment.
This dog has come so far with her development. She is quite fabulous. And she is only 3.
Any amount you can spare to give a dog a chance would be greatly appreciated, more than you know
