First of all, I want to thank everyone for all their kind words and support. Ernie was a wonderful husband, a great provider, and father to our beautiful 5 children. We will forever be eternally grateful for the time we had together as a whole family. He was our rock, our everything. A great loss to us all.

From the day we were born, God had blessed us with an unbelievably amazing man to call our father.
My dad was not only a loving, caring, giving man to me and my brothers but really anyone he came into contact with. It is so hard to put into words to describe what he meant to me and to anyone he spoke to. A man with a heart of gold, a true hero, and an angel from God, and the most amazing FATHER any kid could ask for. I will Love you forever and always.
- His Daughter, Crystal
The proudest day of my life was graduating boot camp, not for what I accomplished but because you were there to tell me how proud you were of me. You worked hard day in and day out for all your children without ever voicing a complaint. You made it to all of our games/events and fully supported us in everything we loved to do. A truely selfless and loving man. You left us far too early. Thank you for everything
- His Son, Alex
My dad was a great man but even better father to me. He taught me so much and there was still so much to learn from him. But what he taught me over the 24 years I was with him I feel is enough to guide me through life without him. But he will always be with me. I just hope I am a husband and father like he was.
- His Son, Ricky
I love my dad. He was the best dad anyone could ever have. He had a sense of humor whenever I got in trouble. No matter what I was going through he just wanted me to learn from it and move on. If anyone in our family needed help with anything he would try to help the best he can. He was the rock in the family. If there was one thing that can describe my dad it would be his kindness that he shared with other people around him no matter where he would be at. He was a great man. I wanted to learn so much more from him and hearing all of his stories being a kid like me. He loved me so much. He was always proud of me and his family and did everything he could to take care of us. There are no words that can describe my father. I always know he will guide me and my family on the right path to be happy and be amazing like he was.
- His Son, Brandon
My father in law was an amazing man. He welcomed me into his family without hesitation. His kindness was never ending and his patience was something we could all learn from. He taught me so much in such a short period of time. Whenever I had a big decision to make I knew I could always go to him for advice. A father, a husband, and a friend... he will never be forgotten.
