Ernie Culley Healing and Recovery Fund

As you know, Ernie Culley experienced a massive cardiac arrest in the terminal at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. He was revived on the scene and taken to Presence Resurrection Medical Center where he was stabilized. His heart is functioning at 15% and he has several arteries which are totally blocked. He cannot travel as he is; therefore, he will have open heart surgery on Monday morning.

Someone has generously paid for accommodations for Merrilyn for the time they will be in Chicago. Others have asked what they can do to help; honestly, the biggest issue facing Pastor Culley is the costs of being away from home for so long, getting proper accommodations for the return trip, and then an extended recovery period at home.

BC MSP will cover medically necessary procedures out of province, but we understand that it takes a bit of effort to make that happen. There is, however, a cap on certain services and some services that will not be covered. Ernie also qualifies for some Medicare as a US citizen receiving Social Security, but that is a lengthy process and will not cover everything.

I have no idea how much all of this will cost, but I do know that they are going to need help getting from here to the end of this journey. If you feel led to help out, here is one way to do that.
