IN LOVING MEMORY OF ERNESTO MANFREDONIA

Hello, my name is Tony Caputo. It is with great sadness, and a heavy heart to announce the untimely, and sudden passing of our uncle and our loved one Ernesto “Ernie” Manfredonia on January 20, 2021. “Ernie” was admitted to the hospital on December 30, 2020. He was being treated for pneumonia. He was treated successfully for that ailment. Prior to his being discharged, it was recommended that his heart be checked. He had an angiogram, and the results came back negative. He had a strong, healthy heart. Shortly after the procedure, he developed complications, among other things, that prevented circulation to his legs and feet. He complained and endured so much pain. It was so severe, that he could not get up out of his hospital bed. The realization was that he would need to have his feet amputated.  Ernie still kept a positive outlook while suffering so much. Ultimately, he was looking forward to getting out soon to be in nature again, and spend time with his family, friends, and most of all his loving and precious daughter Vanessa.

Ernie was an amazing and gifted artist. His awesome drawings and colorful prints portrayed nature as well as his love for life. This showed how detailed, and observant he was. He could draw people, animals, the ocean and just about anything!  As a songwriter, he wrote many, many songs, and loved the Beatles.  His songs could bring you to tears, and joy all at the same time. As a musician, Ernie played the guitar and harmonica at the same time with ease. He created music that could bring the world together. He would bring a crowd to their feet. He loved fishing, and sunbathing on the sand. Ernie was the person you could call anytime and he would be there to lend a helping hand. He did not want anything in return. Ernie was the type of person that would take his jacket off for you. He would offer you his last twenty bucks if you needed it. He was loyal, honest, and had the utmost integrity. He was an inspiration to many, and just an all around loving person. Ernie was a man of faith, he loved his God the Almighty. Not one day went by without him mentioning his name. Ernie enjoyed studying the bible and was a very spiritual person. He took many friends under his wings, taught them positivity and to be loving as well. He could fix just about anything, and could build a house from the ground up. He had hands of gold. Sadly, the roaring choo choo train has left town, and will be missed.

While we are shocked at his sudden and unexpected passing, we are asking for friends, and family, to consider monetary donations to this fund to help pay for his burial expenses, and comply with his wishes. He was a free spirited person that never asked for anything and he will be greatly missed. We want to give him the memorial he deserves to honor his memory, and say our final goodbyes. For all of you that wish to donate, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, as I know all of you feel the same way, as I am writing these words on behalf of all of our family, and friends. I wish you all well, and pray for your health, well being, and prosperity.

Much Love
