Erna's Last Visit with Mother
Donation protected
Hello everyone.
Some of you may or may not know that my wife Erna's mother has been battling cancer for the last 2 years. Her situation has looked grim the entire time but she has survived longer than was expected.
My wife is from the Philippines living here with me and our kids in the US. Her mother and family are back in the Philippines. My wife and I do not have a lot of money but have managed to pay for her cancer bills for the last 2 years. Because of this we have been living paycheck to paycheck unable to save up any money for any emergencies.
Right now Erna's mother was admitted to the hospital a couple days ago. Currently all signs show a strong likelihood that Erna's mother will not recover this time. Miracles do happen and we pray that she does recover. All my wife's mother wants in the world right now is to see my Wife and to have her by her side.
My wife has not been able to see her mother for 2 years now, and this will be the last chance she will have to see her and say her goodbye.
We do not have the money to send my wife to the Philippines, take care of her mother, and pay the bills here at home for me and the kids. We have already taken the risk though and pray that life will find a way for us to make it through this. We took the risk and had just enough money to pay for a one-way ticket for my wife to travel home to the Philippines but this is money that needed to go elsewhere.
I don't know how much money we will need to make it through this. I estimated the amount on the this fundraiser based on about $1500-2000 for plane tickets in total for her going there and back. As well as the loss of income form her not being here working as she usually would be, and any money needed for her to take plane tickets, stay in hotels, and food/necessities within the Philippines.
We took the risk of sending her without having the money needed ahead of time hoping and praying that there will be family and friends out there that will be able to help us. So anything that you can do to help is much appreciated. Even if you can't donate if you can just share this to your friends and family in case they are able to help as well.
Thank you everyone.
