Hello Erin's Angels,
Eight years ago Erin was diagnosed with a severe, active form of Systemic Lupus Erythematosous. It's an autoimmune disease that can attack any part of the body. Over the years it has damaged her Mitral & Tricuspid heart valves, caused chronic pneumonia, attacking her kidneys, vasculitis in her brain and optic nerve and a stroke has taken most of her vision. Her optic nerves are both dying and causing blindness. Her doctors expect her to go blind, but no time frame is given as Lupus is very unpredictable. Erin have tried and failed every medication out there. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy to try to slow the progression. That stopped working now.
The only treatment left is a stem cell transplant. These are very costly($125k+ and all out of state), as well as Erin, her husband, Jon, and their 10 year old son, Ethan will have to relocate to Chicago for 3 months. This makes Jon unable to work and he has used up all of his sick days now. The Wall family needs your help emotionally and financially as this is taxing on the whole family. Insurance costs have tripled and stem cell transplants are not covered by insurance. This treatment could spare what vision Erin has left and her life.
