Hey Everyone! 
Over the past 5 years or so through college and various experiences in different parts of the world, I have developed a strong passion for working with exploited women and children.  

About three years ago, while listening to a speaker from International Justice Mission  I suddenly began to panic. I realized as I sat there that I was headed into a career that did not provide me with specific opportunities to work with the women  and children this man was talking about. After this lecture was over I remember turning to my friends and saying, "I need to go in a different direction with my life. These stories we just heard- this is what I am passionate about". 
I have walked the streets of Red Light Districts in Amsterdam, Bangkok and Las Vegas and time and time again I am affirmed in the decision I made that day as the heaviness on my heart for these women is so extreme. 

I have taken this year off before I begin my degree in Social Work and have now been presented with an oppotrunity to attend a seminar in Amsterdam's Red Light District March 28-May 10th with Youth for a Mission called Shine: The Global Sex Trade & Christian Response. Here I hope to further develop the knowledge and tools I need to work towards justice for the exploited and enslaved peoples of this world.
