Erin's Cancer Return: We Need Your Help

Donation protected
Hi everyone,
my name is Maria Dunlope and I’m the daughter of Erin.
Many of you know my mom— she is not one to ask for help, and never complains about anything, ever.
over the past two years, she had been having several health issues arise out of the blue, causing her joint pain, shortness of breath, hacking coughs, etc. it took about a year for her to receive a diagnosis.
in September of 2024, she was diagnosed with aggressive Stage 4 T-Cell Lymphoma. She was started on a chemo regimen, and thus began our cancer journey with her. After several procedures, a 43 day hospital stay, tests, increase in medical bills, and worry, we were just happy to know we had a diagnosis, and were hopeful that treatment would work.
After months of chemotherapy treatment, my mom received a Stem Cell transplant in April of this year. Us as a family were hopeful & felt like we could finally take a breath.
Over the course of 100 days post stem cell transplant, my mom regained her strength, and worked hard to regain independence with walking without assistive devices, driving, cooking, etc. she was (and still is!) making progress.
In July she had a hospital stay due to recurrent fevers, but was treated with antibiotics.
In the beginning of this month, August 2025, my mom began to have recurrent fevers, chills, and coughing again.
she was admitted to West Penn in Pittsburgh, and after more testing, we found out her Stage 4 Lymphoma came back. And not only did it come back, it came back with vengeance.
Different from the first time, the lymphoma is now in both of her lungs, with several nodules present. Nodules were now found in her liver, and other parts of her lymphatic system, including some found in her bones.

this is not the news we’ve hoped for. This has been extremely difficult for my mom and dad.
my sister and I are trying to support them in anyway we can during this difficult time, but with climbing medical bills, and the recommendation from her oncologist to forego another round of chemo, we— to put bluntly— need help.

my mom will be getting put back on another chemo regimen, with the goal to have a donor-specific stem cell transplant. We are hopeful to have ourselves and family tested to help my mom receive a match for transplant.

This past two years have been overwhelming, frustrating, infuriating, heartbreaking, hopeful at times, and hopeless at times. It’s been a swirl of emotions and— I’m not quite sure how to help them, other than to try to raise money for them to ease some of their financial stress.

if you can donate $5,$10– anything, I know my mom and dad would appreciate it so so much.
please share this fundraiser, too. We need to get the word out.
