My name is Erin Vanderhyde. I am a senior at San Diego State University. In May I will graduate with a BA in Theatre Arts.
I have been given the opportunity to Study Abroad in Italy from July 2nd- July 29th. "The Musical Theatre Performance Studio is a professional-level training and performance program which provides a rare opportunity for talented young singers, actors, and dancers to train and perform in Europe with leading Broadway professionals. The four-week program is designed for college students that are preparing to transition into the professional theatre world. Equal importance is placed on singing, acting, and dance... Music Academy International has an outstanding reputation as one of the premiere young artist training programs in the world today. Our faculty artists are all currently working on Broadway and have years of professional experience and knowledge in both the business and artistic aspects of musical theatre. They bring a passion to the training process and will help you to hone your skills in song, acting, and dance." At the end of the four-program I will get to perform in one of two shows, Godspell or Chicago.
As you can imagine this trip is going to cost a lot of money. Which is why I am reaching out to my family and friends for help. Your finacial support will allow me to train amongs the best. The program itself cost around $3000 which will include my room and board. However I still have to pay for the flight, food, and exploring Italy.
