Erin Young's Cancer Treatments

Donation protected
My name is Erin Young. I am a 38-year old mother, wife, Realtor, and recent cancer patient. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on November 1, 2017 after finding a lump in the shower. I have Stage 2, IDC E+, P+, Her2-.

After drastic lifestyle changes and months of holistic- approach therapies at home (IV Vitamin Therapy, Rick Simpson Oil protocol, enemas, juicing, supplements, acupuncture, reiki, etc.) and thousands of dollars spent, I was upgraded to Stage 2 with dramatic tumor growth in 90-days (almost doubled in size). This was a devastating turning point.

I know now how serious my condition is and that I must accept traditional treatments. I am scheduled for a lumpectomy on 1/25/18. While this is an outpatient procedure and we are hopeful they will NOT find my cancer has metastisized, we do not quite know the full scope of my diagnosis.  They will also remove up to 3 of my lymphnodes during this procedure, which is how they will determine if it has spread to other parts of my body.

My oncologist recommends radiation, and after hours upon hours of research and discussion with my practioners, family, and other survivors, I have opted to go an alternative route. This decision was very difficult, but as I type this today I know it is the right decision for me and my body. And I can say, I'm finally paying attention to what my body is telling me. I have no choice...

Update: 2/7 After a long talk with one of my best friends, she advised that I clarify my position regarding Western medicine and my willingness to take it. Since finding out the cancer is in my lymph nodes, therefore Stage 3, I’ve had to more closely consider chemo and radiation. My surgeon told me I wouldn’t be able to start that until March regardless, which left the door open for me to continue my pursuit of alternative therapies at New Hope Unlimited. I believe I will be in remission when I leave here! The treatments maybe alternative, but they are intense and regimented and A LOT. Please note that while I’m more hopeful than ever that I won’t need chemo or radiation, if my oncologist detects cancer still in my system I will do whatever necessary to be 100% cancer free. With the work I’m doing at New Hope to build my system up, I’ve been told (by nurses and patients alike) that my system will respond way better to both chemo and radiation should I need to do it upon my return.

Also, please know this isn’t voo doo medicine. These are cutting edge, amazing treatments that I believe in and have pursued because I want the most successful outcome possible and I have researched the hell out of all of it-alternative and traditional medicine alike.

The good news is that I have been accepted to a 12-day In-Patient Treatment facility called New Hope Unlimited. They offer cutting edge, alternative treatments specialized to my DNA and cancer profile. Immunotherapy, Dendritic Cell Therapy, Cancer Antigen Antibody Therapy (CAAT), Ozone Therapy, and much more. Their philosophy is that everyone's body is capable of healing themselves with proper guidance, and I whole-heartedly agree.

New Hope Unlimited as a bed open for me on 2/5/18. They cost $28,000, which does not include costs that I may incur depending on the treatment they deem best for me, nor does it account for my time off work, travel, and expenses incurred during my absence for child care of our 10-year old daughter, Madeline.

I need to raise these funds quickly, and I need your help. Please know that every cent you contribute will go to my treatments, and if we have extra, to the care of my family during my absence. We've already spent thousands, and have a long way to go...

Recently Madeline had a brilliant idea to do a lemonade/hot chocolate stand! We held it this weekend with 2 of her best friends, and mine, and they raised $340 from our neighborhood alone! We have an amazing community, and I am a firm believer in the goodness of humanity.

If you are able to part with a penny towards helping us, we will forever be grateful and we will always look for ways to repay in kind.

If you aren't in a position to donate financially, you can help me get the word out by sharing my link on your Facebook Timeline.

With this, I want to express my sincere gratitude and love. I have had an amazing life filled with the best family and friends a girl could ask for...and I hope to have decades more. Our lives have forever been changed by my diagnosis, and I must say that most of those changes have been positive ones. Finding health, finding the humility to ask for help, and in that humility becoming aware of just how amazing the world and the people in it are.

With Peace and Love,
The Mikrut-Young Family  (and Toby & Louie, of course!)
