Hello everyone,

With Erin's passing, we all lost an amazingly generous, compassionate, caring, Rebob-for-Life.

 

Our time with Erin started several years ago, when her son Bennett joined our Team of high school mountain bikers. It didn't take more than 30 seconds for Erin and Jon not only to take over, but OWN the responsibility of feeding a team of hungry, high school mountain bike racers. This was no easy task, camping with the team, waking up early, cooking AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS meals for over 20 riders, coaches and parents at our races. Breakfasts and lunches were a centerpiece in helping establish the bond our small team has created within the Team and community at large.

 

The community spirit, joy and love that Erin shared with each and everyone of us will never be forgotten, and as a Team, we would like nothing more than to memorialize this amazing lady for everything she has done and stood for kids in Napa Valley.

 

Our coaches have come up with a plan to purchase an amazingly beautiful memorial bench that will be installed in Skyline Park, our training ground, in honor of Erin and her family. We've coordinated with Skyline Park and outlined a bench that they will be using throughout park, and have the Park's full support in not only procuring the bench, but being able, as a team, to install it in the park in her honor.

 

We're reaching out to all Rebobs in an effort to purchase this bench and show our support for her and especially Jon, who lost not only a wife, but a best friend and for Bennett, who lost a mom and champion.

 

ALL FUNDS will be used to purchase the bench and go directly to the installation within the park.

We will work with Jon and have Bennett and Himself identify where they would like it placed. Stay tuned for Memorial Plaque Text as well— it will come from Rebobs, of which we are all life-long members.
