Let me introduce myself, my name is Alicia Schulz McBride. I am married to Matt and we have two amazing children Xavi (6) and Lulu (3). We are both self-employed, I am a realtor and an actress and Matt runs his own consulting company.
Most of you know Erin Mercer, but some of you have not had the privilege of getting to know her.
Erin has been battling cancer for sometime and one can only imagine the financial strain that this type of life event can present.
We started this gofundme before Christmas and we wanted to give her these funds in order to show her how many people support her in her time of need. The matter of the fact is that we wanted to give back to someone who GIVES so much to other people.
Along with an awesome medical team, Erin has been valiantly fighting Leukemia. We have been praying over Erin and truly expect for her to be healed!!!
Erin is amazing! She has been with our family for 2.5 years and we truly feel that it was a God wink on how we ended up together. We are SO incredibly blessed to have her be a part of our family! When Erin first started helping our family, I quickly realized that (day one!) she was special! I came home to a clean house, happy kids, and children that had gone on treasure hunts and adventures. It was more than I could’ve ever expected! When she picks the kids up from school, they literally run to her giving hugs! My kids call her “Magic Erin” or “Our Erin”. Erin is truly one of the most genuine, giving, loving individuals I have ever met and many of you already know this, but she is also one of the most unselfish people I have ever come across.
When I asked her permission to do a “gofundme” for her concerning her health bills, her exact reply was “ oh, well... there are so many other people who need it more than me”... just another example of her unselfish nature.
If you have ever been affected by cancer, or know someone who has, you may know the struggle.
If you feel it in your heart to donate, we would greatly appreciate it!
Any amount would be awesome … and honestly, I had no idea on how much to put in the amount we are trying to gather, but my prayer is to give an overabundance to Erin and bless her beyond measure!
