Hello, my name is Nicole. I have been best friends with Erin since we were 13 and I am trying to help Erin and Kyle as they deal with the devastation of losing their home and businesses in the Bald Range wildfire that is still taking place in Summerland BC.

They found out today that everything they own is gone.

They left their home to go on a three day camping trip only for a wildfire to take over their beloved community of Summerland overnight. They are left with only the small amount of clothing and supplies that they took camping.
They are currently continuing to camp in Osoyoos with their rescue dog, Pilla, and are physically safe. The mental and emotional anguish they are dealing with is unfathomable and it is in times like these that those of us who are currently in better situations than our friends Erin and Kyle, are being called upon to help in any way possible.

Erin and Kyle meet 6 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. They live together at La Punta Norte guest house, located on highway 97 in Summerland . To the best of their knowledge this beautiful resort that Erin has called home for over 11 years is gone. *News reports on Tuesday August 11 state that La Punta Norte, where Erin and Kyle called home, has been reduced to rubble in the fire.

Together, they shared a seasonal business with the owners of La Punta Norte; Lakeside Water Rentals. They provided entertainment to visitors, treated them like friends, and brought a thriving business to this lakeside community.

Erin is a health care assistant for Interior Health and works effortlessly to provide the best care to senior citizens at a care home - all of whom have been evacuated from their care facility.

Kyle is an independent, self-employed contractor and has lost all of his tools and vehicles in this devastating fire.

If you know either Erin or Kyle, you know that they would do ANYTHING for their friends and family. Now is the time for us to step up and show them our love for them in their time of need.

As more information becomes available, I will update you all here. As of evening on August 8, their home is rubble, the highways are closed, and the town of Summerland is evacuated.
