Help Erik Meade's Widow with End of Life Costs

Erik Meade, 56, my husband, partner, and best friend for over 25 years, suddenly passed away from an unexpected illness. Born in Iowa, Erik spent his life trying to improve the circumstances of others. First in the United States Army during the Gulf War, then teaching others advanced programming techniques around the globe, and later finishing law school at 54 to help fulfill his racial and environmental advocacy goals by championing the rights of Native Hawaiians as well as the environment.

I am devastated by Erik's loss and overwhelmed at the same time by the unexpected costs involved with not only putting Erik to rest ($1600) but also the expected large medical bills ($5000+) from multiple weeks of hospitalization and tests.
