Erik’s Cancer Journey

Hi friends. Some of you may know my family and me, some of you may be complete strangers. What you really need to know is this, my dad is my hero. He sacrificed for years of his life to make sure that I was loved and provided for. Now it’s my time to give back to him in any way I can. My dad was recently diagnosed with stage 3 metastatic melanoma. It has spread to his lymphatic system and we are currently waiting on scans to see if it’s spread anywhere else. He’s starting immunotherapy soon which is a huge financial expense. In the midst of that, my step mom is also now faced with the challenges of rheumatoid arthritis. Her health is now also fragile preventing her from being able to work. The emotional burden this takes on a person and our family has been unimaginable. We’re a strong family and it takes a big storm to rock us, well this is a pretty big one. My parents are the last people in the world to ask others for help, but right now, money is the last thing I want them to worry about. The financial strain this is going to put on my family can’t be ignored. After this cancer journey my dad is going to have his hip replaced. All proceeds will go to my parents insurance as well as my loving father’s medical bills. We’re all just doing our best. Thank you and love you all.
