A few weeks ago, my wonderful sister-in-law and I shared the determination and drive with others to run in a Ragnar relay race. Now less than one month later, she has contracted Guillain-Barre syndrome, and is on a respirator in an intensive care unit.
As we deal with the shock of her compromised nervous system, and rapidly fluctuating blood pressure, and her fragile health condition, we are planning for long-term rehabilatory care. She is 44 years old.
I would like to help my brother with possible unforeseen medical expenses that inevitably arise, i.e. co-pays for rehab and ICU costs.
It goes without saying that my sister-in-law is a strong-willed person, who always helps others and cares so much for others well-being. I am asking for some help to assist in easing my brother and her burden, and allow my brother to have more time to be with my nieces, 8 and 10 years old, during this trying time.
I would be most grateful for any help you can provide.
