I'm starting this for my sister, Erika.

On Tuesday, January 21st, my sister was on her way to work. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse; another driver steered into her lane and hit her head-on.

My sister was transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment.

When she first arrived, she had no brain activity.  She has been having complications with her lungs, heart, and kidneys. She is fighting for her life. 

We are trying to stay optimistic, but to say we're not scared would be a lie.

We don't like asking for help, especially with finances, but medical expenses are going to be through the roof. We are asking for help if possible so we can pay off her medical bills.

We will update everyone on her progress, but at the moment, she is still unconscious.
