Single Mom of 4 kids hit by drunk driver!!

On March 16th, 2024 My Cousin Erika, her 4 kids and my aunt were in a tragic accident.It was a nice Saturday day, they got to come visit and spend family time with all our family at a cousins baby shower. That night they were on their way back home when the unthinkable happened. They were hit dead on by a drunk driver that fled the scene. My cousin Erika was driving when all of the sudden a vehicle hit them straight on. Within seconds everything changed. She remembers waking up, trying to yell for her kids and checking on her mother. The car rolled 3 times, She was stuck & in pain. They had to be extracted from the vehicle. Her 4 kids were injured in several parts of their body. They were trapped inside where it took numerous firefighters to finally reach them after cutting the doors off. They were rushed to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana,il.

Erika suffered a broken shoulder,arm,fingers and wrist fractures. Her son Yahir suffered neck injuries,broken shoulder,back and waist fractures. Her daughter Sherlyn suffered hand,shoulder and mouth fractures. Her daughter Valeria suffered broken shoulders, elbow fractures, forehead cut and a broken pelvis. Her youngest Adriel suffered hand and mouth fractures with shattered teeth. 3 kids and my aunt have been released from the hospital but Valeria still hospitalized.

To bring awareness to her situation, minimize her stress, treat her and her 4 kids and other medical concerns and allow her to focus solely on her recovery, this Go Fund Me page was created. medical, immediate living expenses, loss of income, and anything else that may

El 16 de Marzo de 2024. La vida de mi prima Erika, sus 4 hijos y mi tía cambió para siempre en un segundo. Fue un lindo día de sábado, vinieron a visitarnos y pasaron tiempo en familia con toda nuestra familia en el baby shower de nuestra prima. Esa noche regresaban a casa cuando sucedió lo impensable. Fueron chocados por un conductor ebrio que huyó del lugar. Mi prima Erika conducía cuando de repente un vehículo los embistió de frente. En cuestión de segundos todo cambió. Recuerda haberse despertado, haber intentado gritarles a sus hijos y ver cómo estaba su madre. Su carro rodó 3 veces, todos quedaron atrapados y sufrían dolor. Tuvieron que ser extraídos del vehículo. Sus 4 hijos resultaron heridos en varias partes del cuerpo. Quedaron atrapados dentro del vehículo, donde fue necesario que numerosos bomberos finalmente llegaran hasta ellos después de cortar las puertas pudieran sacarlos. Fueron trasladados de urgencia al Hospital Fundación Carle en Urbana,il.

Erika sufrió fracturas de hombro, brazo, dedos y muñeca. Su hijo Yahir sufrió lesiones en el cuello, fracturas en el hombro, espalda y cintura. Su hija Sherlyn sufrió fracturas en manos, hombros y boca. Su hija Valeria sufrió fracturas de hombros, codos, cortada en la frente y fractura de pelvis. Su pequeño Adriel sufrió fracturas en manos y boca y dientes rotos. Tres niños y mi tía fueron dados de alta del hospital, pero Valeria sigue hospitalizada.

Para crear conciencia sobre su situación, minimizar su estrés, y ayudarla a ella y a sus 4 hijos con las preocupaciones médicas y permitirle concentrarse únicamente en su recuperacion ya que Ella no podrá trabajar por varios meses a causa de sus fracturas y ella es el único sostén de su hogar como madre soltera de sus 4 niños!, Por eso se creó esta página Go Fund Me.
