Friends, I'm afraid I have to share some impossible news. My beautiful, radiant sister, Erika Alstrom Thomsett has walked her last steps on this planet of ours. We are devastated, and held up by our love for her and each other, and by the tremendous love and support pouring forth from our family and community.
Her life was cut way too short by unexpected consequences of the illness that afflicted her as a sweet, pink haired child of 5 years old. We had no idea, and at the moment can't imagine how we will adjust. I am only so happy that she filled her too few years with all of the things she ever wanted: an adoring husband, a beautiful child, and a life full of music and friends.
She was my closest confidant and mischief-maker, my most ardent supporter and advocate, and I will ache for her always.
