Erik Medina gone too soon
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us to mourn the passing of Erik Alexander Medina to a very untimely young death.
Erik suffered a catastrophic brain injury while skiing with his friends in Lakewood, Colorado on March 10, 2020. His mom was in San Antonio, Texas at work that morning when his friend called to inform her about the fall he had endured. His parents flew to Colorado as soon as they could, and arrived that evening. Unfortunately, he was declared brain dead that night.
Erik’s life goal was to become a medical doctor, he was a vibrant young intelligent young man with his whole life ahead of him.
Erik was an organ donor and the hospital kept him on life support until they could allocate his organs and perform the organ harvesting surgery. His family has been and will stay in Colorado until his body is released. This will complete Erik’s mission of saving lives.
He was a 19 year old junior at Texas A&M University who took great pride to be an Aggie as well as a member of Phi Delta Theta. As far as his family can remember Erik always finished what he started. His personality was one of persistence, hope, and resilience.
He was a great son, brother to his sister Hannah, grandson and friend to many.
Erik’s death has been extremely emotional and devastating for all of us. We are reaching out to our friends and family for support in means of monitory donations to help offset his expenses. Though our hearts are broken and our souls wounded, any help you could provide would relieve the financial strain during this difficult time. We appreciate all the love received.
Please keep us in your prayers. Information regarding Erik’s services will follow.
