Erik Kohler

Erik was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer in August 2018. He started chemo and radiation right away. We were given good news that the tumor was shrinking. A few months later, he underwent an extensive 8 hour surgery to remove half of his esophagus and stomach in hopes of removing the tumor. At that point we were told Erik was cancer free and we could not be happier. Unfortunately late 2019, we got the news that there was a cancerous spot found on his liver, and he was given a terminal diagnosis. The following day, Erik began chemo again to start the fight in beating his terminal cancer.




September 2020, Erik had a follow up doctors appointment like he does every month, only to find out that the chemotherapy is not working and the tumor on his liver has grown. 




With that being said, Erik has been out of work for over 2 years now. Financially, things have been extremely difficult. Chemo, Fluids and Doctors appts all take place in Marysville, which is a drive that is taking place 3-4 times a week. We don’t know how much time Erik may have left but, we want to make sure he is able to experience life before he cannot. As we all know, there are many things going on in the world right now but, we would appreciate anything.
