On June 9th, 2025 Our father Erik Blair passed suddenly and unexpectedly just two days after my husband and I got married. we are absolutely beside ourselves and are heavily grieving.
Our dad was one of the strongest and selfless people I know. He loved his children and his late wife(our mother) more than life itself, which he reminded us as much as he could.
My father was an Army veteran, a paramedic in the LA riots, a firefighter in California and Pennsylvania, a registered nurse, and an amazing father. I know ive said this a few times but he dedicated his life to helping and saving others. He loved telling stories about his life in the military. He was an amazing cook as well as a fixer of all things, and passed down so much knowledge down to Christopher and I.
He loved meeting and talking with new people, and watching other people enjoy their lives. He only ever wanted happiness for others and always put them before himself.
He is so very loved and we will hold him in our hearts with us until we meet again.
My brother Christopher and I (Julie) are so very thankful for any help we receive towards his funeral expenses as well as financial difficulties through our grieving process as we will be needing time off of work and funds to help with miscellaneous things as we lay our father to rest.
His visitation will be held at the Ott Funeral Home in Irwin Pa Saturday the 14th between 12 and 2, where we also laid our mother to rest.
