On April 24th, Eric was unknowingly suffering from endocarditis (a heart infection). Tragically, the infection grew and began to eat away at his heart valve to the point that a piece broke off. The septic emboli traveled to the brain, causing a stroke and meningitis. Had he not been with his girlfriend at the time, we fully believe that there would have been no one to call the ambulance in the short 1-2 hr window that saved his life. We believe that this is not a coincidence.

Currently, he is 28 years old and is fighting for his life. He is fighting sepsis, a stroke/brain hemorrhage, and a damaged heart. Eric is strong and he is a fighter and deserves a second chance. A second chance at a new life. We are praying that this is his path to peace. That when he wakes up, he will be reborn. We believe that the Creator is literally building a new heart and a new mind.   That  he will be filled with gratitude for having been given a second chance.

Eric has a mom who loves him more than life itself, a father in heaven, two sisters, and a devoted girlfriend that are a more cohesive support system than ever before and are rooting for him to come through this.

Eric needs brain surgery and heart surgery       and he is uninsured.
