Our Food Expeditor was struck by a hit and run driver Tuesday Night. Erik Bing has been employed with Whiskey River for over 3 years and is the person that ensures that the guests orders are fulfilled correctly by the line and quality inspected. He has been a joy to all of us and is a part of our family. If you have any information leading to the arrest of the person or persons that left the scene of the accident @ 8733 Congress Ave. Please call the Port Richey Police Department, FHP, or our General Manager Mike Barbarino @ the restaurant, He is currently in a coma and in critical condition. We will be posting a gofundme.com page soon for the family, You can help by sharing this post! Somebody out there knows something!
This fundraiser has been started to help his family with his medical expenses
UPDATE: Erik (Bing), was admitted to the ICU on March 26 due to a hit and run accident on his way home. Initially he was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury where he was unconscious and unresponsive . He had multiple fractures to his skull and face. He was on a breathing tube and had a chest tube due to having multiple broken ribs. After several tests my brother was pronounced brain dead. Although my brother is a fighter, he will not be making it home.
His death will not be without making a difference as he will be donating the gift of life by being an organ donor. (more information will be coming if anyone would like to attend the honor walk at the hospital)
Prayers and positive thoughts for our family are greatly appreciated at this time as we grieve this horrific and unforeseen tragedy. Once arrangements are made, I will keep everyone updated on our next steps for a celebration of life.
