Hello, my name is Amy and I look after feral and stray cats in Balsall Heath, just south of Birmingham city centre. We have been organising neutering and vet care of cats since 2014 and have a small colony who live in our garden sanctuary. We are fundraising for our elderly resident Eric who has been visiting long term. Viruses are rife in such a dense populated area and Eric struggles with cat flu. We assumed he was feral but he has recently softened and become affectionate. I believe he needs to be rehomed as a pet. Unfortunately we are struggling to find support with this and after finally trapping him to get to the vets, we have learnt that he also needs some medical attention, including a specialist dental operation for broken teeth and infected gums. Considering his age we also have been advised to take full bloods before the procedure. Please help if you can! Eric is no spring chicken but he has a lovely gentle character we are getting to know now we have built trust with him. He deserves a chance!
