No one ever expects such tragic so sudden.  On Monday late afternoon in Black Hawk SD of April 27th, a heartbreaking situation occurred that forced Lori, Albert and their dog Jax to evacuate their home immediately.  A “sinkhole” opened up in their front yard right after they had mowed. After about a week of Caveners exploring under the sinkhole, it was found to be an abandoned Gypsum Mine below their house. Their house is only held up by two rock columns.

I am asking for help for my step brother Albert, his fiancé Lori and their dog Jax during this tragic time.  Albert, Lori and Jax stayed seven nights in a hotel (red cross paid for two nights, the other five night was out of pocket) and currently moved into a camper until they get more clear understanding on what direction they need to take with the situation, present mortgage and or finding another place to live.

We are overwhelmed by the number of people reaching out and asking how they can help support this beautiful couple during this unexpected disaster.  First, please pray. While Lori, Albert and Jax are safe, their house is being threatened. Second, please consider donating to help with the extra financial burden this has brought on, forth coming expenses and other needs during this devastating time. Lori, Albert and Jax are so thankful for the love, support and prayers so many people have shared and will continue to pour out over the next coming days, weeks, and months.
