Erickson Family's Fight: Dad Needs Us Now
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out on behalf of my family during one of the most difficult times we've ever faced.
A few weeks ago, our dad — the rock of our family — was rushed to the ER after struggling to breathe. He had developed pneumonia and RSV (a serious respiratory infection), and fluid had begun to build up in his lungs. On the way to the hospital, he stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest. The ER team performed CPR and used a defibrillator to bring him back — but during the resuscitation, he suffered multiple strokes.
Since then, he has been in a coma for over 3 weeks.
Our dad is the hardest working person we know. He’s someone who gave everything for our family, working tirelessly to make ends meet, sacrificing every day so that we could have what we needed. He’s always been full of love, strength, and generosity — and now he needs us to be strong for him.
The good news is that he’s making slow but steady progress. We believe he has a fighting chance. Soon, he will be coming home — but he’ll need 24/7 care for the foreseeable future. That means around-the-clock attention, medical supplies, physical therapy, and help covering basic living expenses as our family shifts into full-time caregiving mode.
We’re humbly asking for your help. Any donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward:
Medical expenses not covered by insurance
Home care supplies and equipment
Transportation to follow-up appointments
Living costs while our family provides full-time care
If you can’t donate, we completely understand — sharing this with others or keeping our family in your prayers means the world.
Thank you for your support, love, and compassion during this incredibly difficult time. We are holding onto hope, and with your help, we know our dad will keep fighting.
With gratitude,
The Erickson Family
