Hi everyone,

This campaign was created to provide financial support for Erick Escalante's family as they work through the loss of our Brother, Erick as he rests eternally. Erick was 50 years old when he passed away Sunday, November 21st at approximately 2:30 pm.

Erick was 21-year veteran Chicago Police Officer. He was a family man with a heart of gold. Who would have known he would slip away while laying in his bed after health concerns for many years. Erick leaves behind a wife, Liz, son Little Erick (college student), two brothers Fernando and Oscar (also a Chicago Police Officer), a sister Graciela. . . as well as an abundance of friends who have known him as a member of their own family.

Those of you who knew Erick know that he truly was the life of the party with jokes to spare. He was the social butterfly of social butterflies. In addition, his genuine, caring, and giving nature were at the core of all his actions and interactions. His kindness will be sorely missed but always remembered.

This GoFundMe campaign has been created to assist Liz and Little Erick to manage costs associated with Erick's loss to the family as Liz and Little Erick adjust to their new financial circumstances and while Little Erick continues on his journey through college.
