As many of you know, Eric Jurgens was diagnosed with cancer and has undergone both chemo and radiation. After a long and difficult process, they have found spots on Eric’s lungs that may be cancerous still. This month, he is heading to New York to be seen by specialists at MSK and will be traveling to Houston to be seen at MD Anderson.

His wife, Kim, will be taking time off and they are working on getting his long-term disability back in place, but with no end in sight.

If you’ve met Eric, you’d know he would give you the shirt off his back and help you in any way he can. He has been a faithful firefighter for Wears Valley Volunteer Fire Department where his brothers and sisters are family to him.
