My Volunteer Doula Journey Abroad
Donation protected
After a year of waiting for the big YES, I learned in January that I have been chosen to volunteer my doula skills at Bumi Sehat,
an incredible mother-friendly birthing center in Bali, Indonesia.
I will be committing to at least two full months of on-call birth attendant support, starting July 1, 2013. It has been a dream for years to assist births with Ibu Robin Lim and the other dedicated midwives at Bumi Sehat. Please visit the link to learn more about Ibu Robin and her center.
Bumi Sehat offers free services for birthing women!
I believe in birth, and women having access to compassionate care, wherever they are in the world. Help me spread the love, by donating to this worthwhile project of mine. These clinics wouldn't be running without generous people like us. All volunteer fees keep them running!
Volunteer fees have been raised significantly in recent years because of the clinic's need for more support. It's a perfect way for the volunteer's community, YOU, to get involved! Volunteers used to bring supplies in their own suitcases, but now they are asked to donate money as other partner organizations now ship the supplies themselves. Your donations go directly to sustaining these compassionate birthing practices!
My heart to yours,
Erica
