Erica’s Fight for Life

My friend, Erica Clement, is on her second round of breast cancer that affects less than 1% of breast cancer patients. First diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in July 2020, a mass was removed. In November there was no evidence of disease. But in July 2021 an ultrasound found three swollen lymph nodes. She began integrative treatments but the mass started pushing out of her skin. Immunotherapy and chemo have had limited results.

The large tumor has taken on a life of its own outside of her body. She has been bedridden and out of work since July 2022. The wound is severe and large, which requires constant care. Lack of mobility has taken its toll on her body, such that she now needs 24/7 care. Friends and family are helping but the financial strain has added to her stress. Medical bills, supplements and supplies are becoming more than they can bear, even though they have insurance. And having only one income adds even more stress.

Erica and her husband are not ones to ask for help but now they they can no longer carry the burden after having exhausted all their savings. She is a loving, caring, amazing woman and her life is worth fighting for!
