Siebel Concise Course

I am a 26 year professional brewer.  I am the current assistant brewer at Freewheel Brewing. I absolutely love what I do for work and I couldn't imagine doing anything else for a living. In the 3 years I have been in the beer industry I have worked nearly every position in a brewery, from bartender, to sales, to packager, to brewer. I have busted my butt and I never had a chance to go to college.  I learned to brew by showing up in brewhouses and doing all I could.

Brewers do not make a whole lot of money, I basically live pay check to pay check in small, over-priced apartment in the Bay Area.

I recently won a scholarship from the Pink Boots Society, an organization to provide educational scholarships to women in the beer industry.

While I am so grateful for getting this awesome opportunity, there is one small thing holding me back from this scholarship and course. I have to pay a deposit to hold my spot by the end of July. I felt a bit strange asking for money from friends and strangers on the internet, especially because it is a deposit and I do get the money back once I complete the course. I have decided that once I pass the class and get our money back, I pledge to donate $1,500 back to the Pink Boots Society. The remaining $500 will go to teaching my "pay it forward" educational beer class. Part of winning is once I am finished, I have to "pay it forward" and demonstrate what I have learned, and share my passion and knowledge of beer with others.

Once I donate to the Society I will give a list of all donors and their respective businesses!
