Erica's Battle With Cancer

Erica Olson Step is known by all as an inspiring, amazing woman. In each of her many roles - wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend...the list goes on - Erica graces us with her wit and wisdom. As an elementary school teacher, Erica has devoted her heart and career to helping others, but now it is Erica that needs our help and support.

Erica has very recently been diagnosed with stomach cancer and she is just beginning the battle to save her life. In true Erica fashion, she is arming herself for the fight with strength and dignity. And we, her family and friends, are prepared to fight with her.

The diagnosis was sudden and shocking, as there were no symptoms or illness leading up to the hospital visit that has changed her life forever. As her fight begins, Erica has been forced to take a medical leave of absence from her beloved school (and students) to start immediate treatment.

We are humbly asking for your support during this scary and difficult time. Without Erica's income, the Step family has taken a major hit to their daily living expenses, but, more urgently, the medical bills have only just begun for the family. Any amount that you are able to donate to the Steps will go a long way towards making this new, unexpected season of their lives a little easier and would be greatly appreciated.  If you are unable to make a financial commitment, please make a commitment to pray for Erica, Jim, the kids and all of the extended family who are affected by the diagnosis.
