Hi my name is Laura Rodriguez. My friend Erica Felver unexpectedly lost her dear son Luke Bent this week. He was born with a rare disease that causes kidney & liver failure. He had a kidney transplant when he was only 3 years old, and was doing very well until his liver began to fail. Luke was so brave and underwent multiple tests & procedures, and was finally placed on the liver transplant list in March of this year. He was looking forward to his transplant so he could start his life by finally getting his driver's license, a job, and his own apartment! This past week Luke had an unexpected complication of severe internal bleeding. He was airlifted to Parkview Hospital, but tragically did not survive. His family is left with such unimaginable pain & loss! Anyone that has met Erica and her husband Jeremy, knows how hard-working, kind, and generous they are!
