Since I could remember my younger sister Erica was always an outgoing, hilariously funny person. Everyone she met she could put a smile on their face. Erica was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and most importantly a mother to her only child, 14-year-old Jayden. Jayden is the joy of her life and has been her motivation since he was born in 2008.

Due to complications of her pregnancy, my sister had been fighting congestive heart failure, but by the grace of God, she received a new heart in December 2015. Erica took that as a sign to live and be a joy in our family's lives. She showered my children and my brother, Eric's children with all the love she could give. She was a special light to our parents, Eric and Sherry. But most of all her most precious responsibility was being an amazing mother to Jayden, who is excelling in school and basketball.

Erica's unexpected passing on January 09, 2023, has left a devastating hole in our family, but nothing compared to the loss that her son is feeling. On behalf of my parents, we are asking in lieu of flowers that a donation is sent to her son Jayden. Jayden will need our whole family to support him as he takes this journey called life without his mother. Any support from friends and family will be greatly appreciated.
