Erica Bascom Anderson

It’s with unimaginable heartbreak that we share the news that Erica Anderson tragically lost her life last night in Columbus, Georgia.

At this time, it appears to have been a terrible accident, though the investigation is still ongoing.

Erica had just started this semester at Columbus State University as a professor in the theater department. She was so passionate about her work and her students, and she was truly excited about building her future with the university community she had already come to love.

Erica leaves behind her loving husband, Andy, and their three beautiful children — Jade, Noah, and Sky — all in Indianapolis. Andy is currently undergoing cancer treatments, which makes this loss even more devastating for their family.

We’re asking for your support to help ease some of the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward funeral arrangements and helping the family with expenses as they begin to navigate life without Erica.
