Eric's Road Home
Donation protected

Eric Haskins, the son of Claire and Mark Haskins, was severely injured on Tuesday, September 29, when a car cut in front of him while he was riding home on his motorcycle. He suffered multi-system trauma with lacerations to his liver, severe abdominal injuries, and significant trauma to both legs. He has been in intensive care since the accident and has undergone 10 surgeries with more to follow. Sadly, on Wednesday, October 14, the hospital had to amputate his left leg above the knee. The injuries he suffered were catastrophic, and he still is not out of the woods. His rehabilitation will be lengthy and complex. One encouraging sign is he has been opening his eyes and he is able to nod yes and no to answer questions.
Eric has a tremendously long road ahead of him and the driver of the vehicle had only minimal insurance. He will be out of work for several months, if not years, as he will have to re-learn how to walk at the very least. Eric is a hardworking, generous, and very determined young man, with a dry wit and spark of mischief that brings a smile to his friends and families faces. Please consider donating, as he has a long battle ahead of him. Thank you.
