Every hero needs a hero and today a hero is calling on us all.                                                                                                                                            I'd like to introduce you to Eric. Devoted son, humorous brother, loving Uncle, and  was engaged and working hard towards making a life for his family before his tragedy.   Extremely intelligent, he loved life, music, staying active and helping people. He came down with seizure disorders at the age of 15. His medications were doing what they were suppose to do.  He took music and saxophone lessons for seven years in school. He volunteered to  helped teach Taekwondo to younger children and worked a side job while going to school.  After he graduated from high school he went on to college to earn a degree. During his second year  HIS LIFE CAME CRASHING DOWN with life threatening seizures, from Epilepsy.   He has had seizures since he was young but they were manageable.   After a period of time Eric's medications were no longer working. He was at the highest dose possible.  He was so heavily medicated, and was still having Grand Maul seizures that were lasting more than five minutes which puts him at a critical place of coma or death. He had no quality of life, no outside social interactions, had to leave behind his job  college career,  and fiance behind to seek treatment.                                                                                                                                                               Eric started going into Status Epilepticus, which are life threatening seizures where coma or death occur. The medications weren't working anymore.                                                      Doctor's told him he would have to under go brain surgery. Eric has bravely fought three brain surgeries to stop these life threatening seizures. The first surgery was unsuccessful. The second surgery was more extreme taking both parts of the frontal lobe brain matter and temporal lobe brain matter, which was extremely dangerous. His chances of loosing speech and memory were high. A high stake to take to save ones life not counting the brutal healing process.  The third surgery he was airlifted back to the hospital for a brain infection and they had to go back in and cut open his brain from an infection.  It was like a terrible nightmare over and over.                                                                                            Eric lost his memory and didn't know who he was and didn't recognize his family.  Everyone was so scared because itwas not sure if he would ever remember, but through the grace of God he returned to us.                                                                                                                                            Eric has been left with neurological problems of speech and concentration, and not being able to find words to speak at times, Noises fatigue him physically and emotionally.  He needs a lot of time to mend.   It takes a tremendous amount of time to recover from these types of brain surgeries,  and Eric will be unable to work for quite some time and is left with such an extreme financial burden.  As to date the surgeries have cost $600,000.00.                                                                                                           We, his family and friends would like to think that he should not have to go through this alone.    Insurance will help cover some, but not all and counting medical bills, every day bills piling up, continued care, medications, therapy, travel and every day bills, which he is incurring while out of work and trying to heal.                                                                            His Dad and Mom , family and friends loves him dearly and have been by his side through all this.  Mom& Dad have had to take lots of time off from work so they could be by his side. They have re-mortgaged their home twice and taken home improvement loans to care for their family. There resources are gone.  It is their love and faith that has kept them together as they continue to ask God to guide and help them.   We ask you for prayers as well.

Now more than ever our hero needs a hero, as Eric fights a battle of getting better.
Please help us ensure that Eric lives an easier life, while mending,  not taken seriously nor lived stressfully by way of financial troubles, but rather enjoying his day to day as he begins the real battle of healing and getting  back his life. We hope you find it in your heart to help this young man and family.   Every little bit counts!  Or please share.      Every dollar donated to this campaign will go directly towards Eric's fight and recovery.                                                                                                                                                          "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” -Galatians 6:2
