Eric's Battle Against Cancer

Eric Olsen found out a few weeks ago, from a very high PSA (Prostate-
Specific Antigen) score of 79 (normal is under 2), along with a Prostate MRI, and a CT Scan that there is a very strong possibility of prostate
cancer that has spread to other parts of his lower abdomen. The biopsy of an enlarged lymph node in his abdomen is scheduled for 15
November 2018 in NW Medical Ctr as an out patient surgery. We are
hoping they will not find cancer in it, that it is enlarged because of the
lymph nodes doing their jobs to fight off disease or illness. However, if
it does have cancer in it, from what a friend told us, when this
procedure was done on him three years ago, they found cancer in 11 of the 13 lymph nodes they biopsied. His prostate was removed by a
robot called a Da Vinci. You can read about
it by typing in "Prostate Robotic Surgery Da Vinci" into a Google
search. Our friend is receiving shots that inhibit his male hormones
from producing called  "Hormone Deprivation Therapy/Androgen
Deprivation", which you can also do a Google search for it as well. The
cancer had spread to his bones and with the Hormone Deprivation
Therapy the cancer is in remission. Besides chemotherapy, this is the
only other treatment two Urologists have said are options for Eric's
condition as the cancer has spread outside of the prostate. Fortunately, even though hotspots showed up on a nuclear whole body bone scan, a CT Scan with contrast came up clean for cancer in the bones, chest and abdomen. However, this could change as the cancer advances.  We
were very relieved over no bone cancer showing up for the time being.

I asked friends and family on Facebook to share cancer survival
experiences and a good number have shared how taking the more
natural route has cured cancer for them or a loved one. So, we started
researching those options. My husband is a chiropractor and has seen
the benefits of chiropractic treatments or different therapies he offers
in his clinic but when surgery or other treatments or another specialist's diagnosis is needed, he is quick to refer the patient to those
providers. He sees the need for all sorts of health care providers.

Some of the options we have chosen while waiting for the biopsy and to see what options other than the ones mentioned above are available to him, he has been getting Photon Genius therapy 4 times a week and
will continue to do so for an indefinite period of time. You can do a
Google search to learn about this as well. A good number of people
are now cancer free from doing this therapy along with taking high
doses of antioxidants. Even large cancerous tumors went away.

He is wanting to start another therapy with high doses of vitamin C and other nutrients through an IV several times a week. This therapy has
helped many people to be cancer free. But, to be able to do so, he needs to get a battery of tests which costs
$1000.00.
Along with the IVs, he is to eat a strict Ketogenic Diet (you can do a
Google Search for that as well, to see the benefits it has with cancer.
You can watch "The Magic Pill" on Netflix and you will be amazed at
what the Ketogenic Diet can do for cancer and other diseases).

Once the type of cancer is discovered and the areas of the body are
known, other treatments and possible surgeries will occur. We have
not ruled out surgery and/or chemotherapy if through prayer we feel
either or both should be followed through with.

Medical costs are soaring as our insurance deductible is so high. A
number of the radiology tests were more affordable to do self-pay,
which means those charges did not get applied to insurance deductible. Some, like the MRI are being paid off in several payments as it was very expensive. Doctor office visits where they did not charge us at the time of the visit are starting to come in. Then, even if he meets his deductible for the year, starting in January, he has to meet the very high
deductible again. In the meantime, he has had to close his office on
Tuesdays and Thursdays so he can go to doctors appointments
and receive medical treatments. It is hard to pay bills at home and the
office with the lost revenue for being closed those days along with the
very high medical costs. We checked out Afflak (which covers time
missed from work) but it will not work for his situation. Since he is self-employed, there is no one to pay for his time off from work.

This coming Thursday, we have to come up with the money for him to
have a biopsy in the surgical unit at NW Medical Center. Also, we need $1000 to pay for diagnostic tests that insurance will not cover. This is
so he can get Vitamin C and other mineral IVs (which have been proven to help cancer and insurance does not cover). Those treatments are
$175 each and he will get those several times a week for an indefinite period of time.

Because of special rates for cancer patients, he has been asked not to
tell how much he is spending for his Photon Genius therapies (which
insurance does not pay for). But, those are not cheap either and they
will be for an indefinite period of time as well.

Asking for monetary help is very hard for him/us as we prefer to be the ones helping others. Eric has given a life of service to many people over the years, even offering chiropractic care for a reduced amount or at no charge for those who cannot afford it, thinking nothing of his own
monetary needs. However, with his health and strength
declining so quickly, he is even finding it difficult to give physical service like he would prefer. This past week, he has declined badly. He looks
and acts abnormally tired, and drained. His ability to pass urine has declined and I am concerned that he will soon not be able to do so unless some kind of intervention is done.

Sorry to be so blunt with some of these health concerns, but hopefully you can see the dire circumstances he is dealing with which has brought us to the point of asking friends and family and anyone else for help
we are not able to adequately provide.

Any amount would be greatly appreciated, even $10.00 - $25.00. If
you are not able to help monetarily, your prayers and faith are greatly
appreciated as well. They are making a huge difference in helping us to have strength to deal with these opportunities for growth and with
having peace of mind when it seems we are in the midst of storm tossed seas with only a life preserver to keep us above water at times.

Hopefully, sometime in the not too distant future, we will be able to pay it forward.

God bless each of you.
